Dean Zhang Zetao and Central University for Nationalities hosts Professors Caine and Smagula

On Tuesday, March 27, Dean Zhang Zetao hosted Professors Burt Caine and John Smagula for a visit to the Central University for Nationalities in Beijing. Professor Caine addressed the students on constitutional implications of the U.S. presidential elections, with Professors Zhang and Smagula moderating the discussion. Professor Caine discussed the limited role of the presidency as contemplated by the U.S. Constitution, the importance of an independent judiciary to ensure minority rights, and ongoing legal considerations in managing the balance of power.
