Bonny L. Tavares Assistant Professor of Law
Professor Tavares joined the Temple University Beasley School of Law faculty in 2004. She teaches legal research and writing and appellate advocacy, serves on the Executive and Admissions Committees, and chairs the Moot Court Committee.
From 2000 to 2003, Professor Tavares taught legal research and writing at Howard University School of Law. She received her J.D. in 1993 from Howard University School of Law, where she was a member of the National Moot Court Team and the Howard Law Journal. Following law school, Professor Tavares served as an Attorney Advisor for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). At HUD, Professor Tavares specialized in labor and employment litigation. She is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar.
