U.S. law is no longer - and never again will be - confined to national borders. From trade agreements to custody disputes, human rights to money laundering, international law is elemental in every area of legal practice. Today, attorneys around the world must be trained to meet the needs of a global society in every legal context.

Recognizing that international law experience is best gained by actually living, learning, and working abroad, Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law offers summer, semester, and graduate programs in nearly every corner of the globe.

Whether you choose to attend a one summer session, or pursue a continuum of international legal studies incorporating several of Temple's study abroad options, your academic, personal, and professional experiences abroad will provide you with a global competence that will set you apart in the international marketplace.

Temple Law has hosted a summer session law program at Temple University Rome for over 30 years; it has hosted a spring semester law program at Temple University Japan for over 15 years. In addition to these two programs, Temple offers semesters abroad with several exchange partners: University College Cork, Ireland; Tel Aviv University, Israel; University of Utrecht, Netherlands; Tsinghua University, China; University of M√ľnster, Germany; Jindal Global Law School, India; and the University of Lucerne, Switzerland.

Finally, individualized study abroad programs enable Temple Law students to study in a region or country not served by one of Temple's study abroad programs. Temple students may, with faculty approval, design or identify an appropriate curriculum at a foreign university. In previous years, Temple Law students have studied in Australia, China, Turkey, Germany, Hong Kong, Panama and other locales around the world.
