Scholarship Opportunities

The Admissions Committee considers all admitted students for admissions merit scholarships including the Beasley Scholarship, Law Faculty Scholarship, Conwell Scholarship and First Year Scholar Awards. Awards are made at the time of admission to the law school and notification of these awards are mailed with the admission letter. No application is required to be considered for an admissions merit scholarship.

The following merit scholarships are also awarded to incoming students but require a separate application in order to be considered. Please click on the link provided for each scholarship for information on the scholarship award, application requirements and deadlines.

The Law School Financial Aid Office maintains a lsting of scholarships which are available from local bar, civic and various other organizations. All students are also encouraged to explore scholarship and grant opportunities on their own from sources outside the law school. Employer tuition benefit plans, AmeriCorps grants, and scholarship or writing competitions are a few of the many financial resources available to law students. You can view the list here.

Several scholarship search organizations are available on the Web. The following are just two of the web sites which offer excellent information and resources on scholarships and the financial aid process: www.finaid.org, www.scholarshipsandgrants.us and www.fastweb.com.
