Domestic applicants must have completed their first year of legal studies and be in good disciplinary and academic standing. First-year law students are considered for program admission after fall semester grades are released.

Applications are due by April 1, although extensions may be granted upon request. Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. We encourage students to apply early, as the Italian government requires some foreign nationals to submit substantial paperwork to support a student visa. In general, U.S. citizens need not obtain a visa for visits to Italy under 90 days, but please consult with our office or the Italian embassy for details.

  1. Completed online application form
  2. Resume
  3. Letter of good standing from applicant’s law school (following the release of first semester grades, if applying for admission after your first year)
  4. $50 nonrefundable application fee paid via check or money order made payable to Temple University and mailed to the Office of Graduate and International Programs (Temple students exempted)

We welcome law students and graduates from non-U.S. law schools to apply. International law students and lawyers must have completed at least two (2) years of law school and be able to demonstrate proficiency in English.
