Other Types of Financial Aid

Federal Work Study Program

This program provides funds for the part-time employment of students who have financial need and require the wages from employment to pursue their studies. Full-time first-year students are not eligible for work study awards and first-year Day Division students are prohibited from seeking any part-time employment unless special permission is granted.

Summer Work Study awards are also available to eligible students. Through the summer work study program many law students have the opportunity to earn money to help meet their expenses while gaining valuable legal experience.

Emergency Loans

Students who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties may apply for an emergency loan. These loans, which range from $500 to $1000, are interest-free and must be repaid within eight weeks. Students in need of an emergency loan should come to the Law School Finanical Aid Office, Barrack 101.
