Andrea Monroe

Assistant Professor Andrea Monroe teaches a variety of classes in taxation, including Taxation and the Taxation of Partnerships and S Corporations. Professor Monroe earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. Following law school, Professor Monroe worked at the law firm of Winston & Strawn in Chicago and New York, where her practice included domestic and cross-border leveraged leasing and other forms of tax-advantaged financing. Professor Monroe's current research focuses on the taxation of partnerships and the treatment of corporate tax shelters.
