Harwell Wells
Assistant Professor of Law


Assistant Professor Harwell Wells teaches corporations, unincorporated associations, and professional responsibility. He is a graduate of Williams College and Vanderbilt University Law School and also holds a Ph.D. in American History from the University of Virginia. Following law school, he served as law clerk for Judge Gilbert S. Merritt, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and then worked at the law firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, LLP, in Washington DC, where he specialized in securities regulatory law. His research interests include the history of corporate and business law and of the legal profession.
