All incoming students will be registered in a placeholder course based on whether you they are full-time or part-time students. Students will be registered for their actual fall semester classes after the first year section assignments have been made in early August. This process will happen automatically, and there is nothing you need to do to make sure you are registered.

Day Division Course Information

All first-year Day division students will be randomly assigned to one of three first-year general sections: Section 1, 2 or 3. In the fall semester, you will take Contracts, Criminal Law, Torts and Litigation Basics with the other students in your general section.  Part-time day students do not take Criminal Law in the first semester. Each Day division section will be further divided into one of two Legal Research and Writing sections.

Your section assignment will be emailed to you on Monday, August 12th.  The email will provide you with your general section assignment and your Legal Research & Writing section assignment.

Once you receive your section assignment, you will be able to access the online course schedule for your schedule of classes for the fall semester, the names of your professors and the books which are required for your courses.

During Orientation week (August 19-23), you will begin your Litigation Basics course.  You will receive a schedule of your classes and other orientation events for that week on August 19th.  Your other fall semester classes, Contracts, Criminal Law, Torts, and Legal Research & Writing, will begin on Monday, August 26th.
