Temple University Beasley School of Law has garnered its highest placement yet in the 2019 US News and World Report law school rankings report, rising six spots to #47. The only other regional law school ranked in the top 50 was the University of Pennsylvania. The school also performed well in the specialty rankings; Trial Advocacy retained its #2 rank, while International Law and Legal Research and Writing were ranked 15th and 17th, respectively. Temple also made its debut in the rankings for Healthcare Law at #24. Finally, the law school retained its #6 ranking for part-time programs.

“Delivery of a world-class legal education is central to our mission at Temple Law School,” said Dean Gregory N. Mandel. “While I believe that the true measure of our success in that endeavor lies with our students, graduates, and research, I’m very pleased with this additional recognition.”

Mandel also noted that Temple Law School has performed well in other recent rankings, notably rising to #34 on an annual list of “Go-To Law Schools” produced by Law.com in collaboration with the National Law Journal, which ranks schools by the number of graduates headed to the top 100 firms, and earning a “Best Value” rating from the National Jurist magazine.

“The Temple Law faculty’s extraordinary commitment to preparing our students for leadership in the legal profession is reflected by these measures,” said Mandel. “I could not be more proud of my colleagues or more pleased with the work they do.”
