Temple students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and each one presents a unique set of experiences and qualifications. Accordingly, the Career Services team regularly schedule one-on-one counseling sessions with interested students to learn about their career goals, discuss ways to transfer skills and knowledge obtained through prior work experience into the practice of law, help them develop outstanding interviewing skills, resumes and cover letters, provide support and encouragement, and otherwise help them to chart a career course and obtain employment.
We strongly encourage every student to meet our career counselors by scheduling an appointment through the CPM. Until further notice, all counseling appointments will be conducted via Zoom video conference or phone.
Counselors are available between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Evening appointments are welcomed, but must be scheduled in advance.
Not sure where to start? OCS will be hosting “Drop In” Virtual Office Hours Monday and Friday from 12pm – 2pm. Bring any questions and we will be there to answer them. Zoom details are available in the CPM appointment module under the “Drop In” Virtual Office Hours block.
Students may also drop by the OCS Virtual Help Desk on Tuesdays from 12:30-1:00pm and 5:00-5:30 pm. Zoom details for these group drop-in sessions with an OCS counselor can be found in the appointment module on the CPM.
For quick questions, look in the CPM appointment module for “10 Minute Quick question – no appointment needed” blocks. Counselors will be available in a Zoom room for a 10-minute chat at various times during the week.
And you can also always reach us by phone (215-204-8806) and email (firstname.lastname@example.org), weekdays from 9am – 5pm.
